The USA have many reasons to celebrate on the third day of the World Athletics Championships in Eugene – four gold medals go to the hosts. But a favorite will be disqualified.

World Championships are Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce’s stage. For the fifth time, the sprinter from Jamaica raced to the 100-meter title and, together with Shericka Jackson and Elaine Thompson-Herah, scooped up all three medals for her home country in Eugene.
