Real Madrid are apparently close to the first monster transfer of the summer. Aurelien Tchouameni comes from Monaco for up to 100 million euros.

Champions League winners Real Madrid are said to be on the verge of a transfer from Aurelien Tchouameni. As Foot Mercato reports, the royals were able to agree on the financial framework of a transfer with Tchouameni’s current club AS Monaco.

Accordingly, the transfer fee for the 22-year-old, including all bonus payments, is 100 million euros. The talks are currently in the final stages and a conclusion is expected in the coming days.

Tchouameni: Real beat PSG and Liverpool

Real manages at least a small revenge against Paris Saint-Germain on the transfer market. After Kylian Mbappe’s spectacular turn in poker, which persuaded the striker to extend his contract with PSG at the last minute and meant a painful defeat for Real, the French champions were also in the running for Tchouameni. But there seems to be no turning point here. The designated new sports director Luis Campos, who worked for Monaco for years, is said to be already working on a plan B.

Tchouameni was apparently also on the list at Liverpool FC, but the Reds have already withdrawn from the race for the French international and are now focusing on other options.

Tchouameni comes from Girondins Bordeaux youth and moved to Monaco in January 2020. There he quickly developed into an undisputed regular player, in the past season he came to 50 competitive games for the Monegasque, in which the defensive midfielder scored five goals and three more prepared.
