This lucrative real estate portfolio includes many royal palaces, but also large estates on the coasts of England and Wales or properties along Regent Street, London’s expensive shopping street. The Crown Estate belongs to the reigning monarch, currently the Queen. However, she may neither sell any of it nor dispose of the income from the estate, for example from lease agreements. In 2021 that was 313 million euros. With the throne, Prince Charles will also inherit the Crown Estate.
