Meghan and Harry celebrated Lilibet’s first birthday with a casual birthday party. There is a cute photo for the fans. The Queen had previously held the little one in her arms

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have released a new picture of Lilibet. Photo shows her at Frogmore Cottage on her first birthday. The picture was taken on Saturday during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The couple hosted a “relaxed” garden party. In the official photo, Lilibet can be seen in a light blue dress with a white bow in her hair. The picture emphasizes her red hair – which was apparently inherited from her father, Harry. This is only the second official picture of her. On December 23, the couple had published a Christmas card.

The picture was taken by photographer and friend of the couple, Misan Harriman, who attended the small celebration with his family. He wrote on Twitter: “It was such a privilege to celebrate Lilibet’s first birthday with my family and hers! Joy and face painting all around.”

Lilibet’s birthday: Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry invited the Windsor offspring

Anonymous sources told The Sun: “It was a beautiful affair and had everything you would expect from a children’s birthday party. There was no formal entertainment. The idea was that it should be very relaxed and informal, with people who were clean and can go out as they please.”

And: “It was a beautiful opportunity for the other royal children to meet Lilibet for the first time.”

Competition of photos

The Queen is said to have met her little great-granddaughter on Thursday or Friday during the celebrations. The “Sun” writes that Meghan and Harry wanted to bring their own photographer to capture their daughter’s first meeting with the Queen. However, the queen forbade photographing her while holding Lilibet in her arms. The palace feared the couple would leak the photo series to US television channels.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the anniversary before it ended. When the pageant made its way through London and the Queen was seen on the balcony, they were already on a private jet that took them to California.
