Netflix is showing several comedy specials in June. A tribute show for the late Bob Saget will also be available soon.
From the end of April to the beginning of May, Netflix set up an entire comedy festival with “Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival”, which took place at various locations in Los Angeles. Now the users of the streaming service are also getting their money’s worth: In June, Netflix is presenting a number of specials showing the festival appearances of well-known comedians. There is also a special tribute show for the late Bob Saget (1956-2022).
Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill
On the one hand, Netflix will be showing the new stand-up special by podcaster, author and comedian Bill Burr (53) from June 6th. As a comedian, he is known for his cynical and provocative programs. Series fans also know Burr in the role of Mayfeld in the Disney series “The Mandalorian”. He also became known for his comedy podcast “Monday Morning Podcast”.
That’s My Time with David Letterman
On the other hand, the legendary talk show star David Letterman (75) invites some of the up-and-coming stand-up stars to play a set and sit down for a chat. The streaming service will show the six episodes on June 7th and 12th. Letterman is also currently on Netflix with My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. In the talk format, he talks to Billie Eilish (20) and Ryan Reynolds (45), among others.
A Tribute to Bob Saget
On June 10, Netflix will air a show dedicated to Bob Saget (1956-2022) after his death. The actor, who played Danny Tanner on the sitcom Full House from 1987 to 1995, died on January 9 at the age of 65 from complications in his head. In addition to his acting roles, Saget has also performed as a stand-up comedian and host. In “A Tribute to Bob Saget”, friends and family look back on his career. The show was hosted by three of Saget’s closest friends: “Full House” buddy John Stamos (58), musician John Mayer (44) and comedian Jeff Ross (56).
Amy Schumer’s Parental Advisory
After “Amy Schumer: Growing” and “Amy Schumer: The Leather Special”, actress and comedienne Amy Schumer (40) shows her new comedy special on the streaming service from June 11 with “Amy Schumer’s Parental Advisory”. The 40-year-old began her career with stand-up before she got her own comedy series “Inside Amy Schumer” and appeared in several films such as “Dating Queen” or “I Feel Pretty”.
Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends
Starting June 13, Pete Davidson (28) is the focus of a special in which he presents stand-up comedy with his best friends. Davidson was a permanent fixture on the comedy format Saturday Night Live for over eight seasons, debuting on the show at the age of 20. He was also able to make a name for himself as a television and film actor. Most recently, he made the headlines with his love life: he and reality TV star Kim Kardashian (41) have been officially a couple for a few months.
Jane Fonda

Snoop Dogg’s F*cn Around Comedy Special
Rapper Snoop Dogg (50) invites you to a special evening starting June 16th, where sets by well-known black comedians performing at the festival will be shown. The musician already has experience as a host and presented, for example, the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007 in Munich. Snoop Dogg is still on stage as a rapper, but he canceled all further concerts outside the USA at the end of May. Two shows were also planned in Germany.
