Often stressful at work, how do you calm down? Martin Brambach discovered a method for himself years ago.

The actor Martin Brambach relies on mindfulness in his often stressful job.

“We’re all somehow looking for strategies to escape everyday life,” he told the German Press Agency before the new Dresden crime scene “Tatort” was broadcast on Whit Monday (8:15 p.m., Das Erste). In the case of “The Cold House”, the head of the commissioner Peter Michael Schnabel, who he plays, comes out as a fan of the “fortunate seeker” who is missing.

“A mindfulness seminar helped me a lot a few years ago, and I also intensified mindfulness yoga,” said the 54-year-old from Recklinghausen. There are exercises that help him to improve his quality of life and reduce stress. “I can sleep better and deal with challenges.” Three shoots at the same time, immense pressure and sleepless nights drove him to action a few years ago. “Mindfulness and such therapies, that’s a field that interests me.”

He has been doing the exercises his teacher showed him every morning for about four years. “It’s a bit like retiree yoga and usually takes 20 to 25 minutes if I do it properly.”
