Britney Spears married Sam Asghari in a fairytale wedding. Many stars were also there. Only her ex-husband caused chaos.

Britney Spears, 40, married her fiancé, Sam Asghari, 28, on Thursday evening (June 9) in the grounds of their Thousand Oaks, California, mansion. According to US media reports, stars such as Madonna (63), Paris Hilton (41), Drew Barrymore (47) and Donatella Versace (67) are said to have been among the guests. Versace also designed Spears’ dress for their fairytale wedding.

Also in attendance were Spears’ celebrity attorney, Mathew Rosengart, and dancers from the singer’s Las Vegas show, Piece of Me. According to Page Six, the bride’s parents Jamie Spears, 69, and Lynne Spears, 67, and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 31, were not there, as were Spears’ sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15 ) were allegedly missing. From the singer’s closest family, apparently only brother Bryan Spears (45) was present at the wedding.

First husband wanted to crash marriage

Before the ceremony, a police operation caused a stir, triggered by the pop star’s first husband, Jason Alexander (40), early Thursday afternoon. He was reportedly arrested outside Spears’ home after attempting to crash the wedding. A source told Page Six that Spears was “devastated” by the incident but refused to let it “get down”.

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari got engaged in September 2021, about five years after they became a couple. Last year, the singer won a legal battle with her family and was released from 13-year guardianship in November.

It is Spears’ third wedding: she was married to her childhood friend Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004 and to Kevin Federline (44) from 2004 to 2007. With Federline she had her two sons. For Asghari it is the first yes word.
