Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander was not allowed to get closer than 90 meters to her for three years. A court decided that.

Jason Alexander (40), Britney Spears’ (40) ex-husband, has not been allowed to approach the singer for three years. A judge in Ventura County, California ruled on Monday (June 13) that Alexander was not allowed to get closer than 100 yards (about 90 meters) to her during this period, as reported by Fox News, among others. Alexander had previously pleaded not guilty.

The 40-year-old was accused of trespassing, vandalism, assault and stalking. At the court date, Alexander appeared in prisoner’s clothing via a video link. The judge set his bail at $100,000.

Arrested before Britney Spears’ wedding

Spears’ ex-husband gained access to the singer’s property before her wedding to Sam Asghari (28) on Thursday. He is said to have been armed with a knife, as “TMZ” reported, citing police sources. He was arrested and arrested the same day. Alexander is said to have committed trespassing several times before. Spears and Asghari officials quickly applied for an emergency protection order, which was referred to a judge. He now decided on the ban on contact.

“I thank the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office for their good work and professionalism and for the seriousness with which they are taking this matter,” Britney Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart told People magazine in a statement.

Britney Spears is married for the third time. In 2004, she tied the knot with her childhood friend Alexander for 55 hours. From 2004 to 2007 she was married to Kevin Federline (44), with whom she has her sons Sean Preston (16) and Jayden James (15).
