Britney Spears (40) said yes to her fiancé Sam Asghari (28) on Thursday evening (June 9) in California. Before the ceremony, a police operation triggered by the pop star’s first husband, Jason Alexander (40), caused an uproar. Alexander was reportedly arrested outside Spears’ home after trying to crash the wedding, media reports say. He is her first husband and “she is my first wife, my only wife,” he is said to have previously said in a live video on his Instagram account.
In the life of Britney Spears, on the other hand, Jason Alexander was neither the first nor the only man. She has been in a relationship and married several times.
But first things first: Her first prominent partner was Justin Timberlake (41). The two had met as children in 1992 in the “Mickey Mouse Club”. They were in a relationship from 1999 to 2002, when they were considered the celebrity dream couple. In 2002, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst (51) also claimed to have been in a relationship with Britney Spears. However, the singer denied the relationship.
Britney Spears’ brief first marriage
In January 2004, the said marriage to Spears’ childhood friend Jason Alexander (40) followed in Las Vegas. However, the couple was only married for about 55 hours, after which the marriage was annulled. In July of the same year, she became engaged to dancer Kevin Federline (44) after only three months of relationship, and the wedding followed in September. A year later, their son Sean (16) was born, and in 2006 Jayden (15) saw the light of day.

Britney Spears’ next longer relationship was with her agent Jason Trawick (50). The couple gave up their professional collaboration in order to be able to focus on their private life together. At first it seemed to work, and the two got engaged in 2011. Trawick thus became the pop star’s co-guardian alongside Jamie Spears. In January 2013, however, they separated and Trawick gave up his guardianship.
In the years that followed, several short relationships followed, including with David Lucado from March 2013 to August 2014. In October 2014, Britney Spears dated TV producer Charlie Ebersol (39), the separation followed in June 2015.

Britney Spears seems to have found love with Sam Asghari. The two met while filming the music video for the song “Slumber Party” in 2016. In September 2021, they announced their engagement via Instagram. In a video, the singer proudly presented her engagement ring. Also on Instagram, Spears announced her pregnancy in April 2022. A few weeks later, the sad news followed that she had suffered a miscarriage. She and Asghari would continue to try “to expand our beautiful family”.
