Cameron Diaz is coming out of retirement and directing a Netflix movie. Her husband, Benji Madden, is said to support her.

Cameron Diaz (49) is back in show business. It was only recently announced that the actress, who retired from acting a few years ago, will soon be back in front of the camera. A source told People magazine that her husband, Benji Madden, 43, is very happy for his wife.

Cameron Diaz is said to be ‘nervous’ about comeback

Accordingly, it was Madden who encouraged Diaz to come out of retirement. The source, who is said to be close to the family, also called Back in Action a “perfect movie project” for her. After all, she has worked with Jamie Foxx in the past and had a “great time”. “She’s feeling a little rusty and nervous about it,” the insider said. For the most part, Diaz is looking forward to the project.

Diaz was last seen in a film in 2014, in the musical adaptation “Annie”. She announced her retirement from acting in 2018. Diaz married her husband in early 2015, and their daughter Raddix (2) was born at the end of 2019. The 49-year-old has also founded her own wine label in recent years and published two books. It’s not yet clear if Diaz will fully come out of retirement and start making films again.
