CEC Chairman: at this time, a vote will be exclusive and unique

In Russia there is a positive trend in the fight against coronavirus. Therefore, the President adopted the decision on appointment of date of voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation on 1 July. The head of Rospotrebnadzor together with the leading experts supported this decision. This was told on air of TV channel “Russia 1” the Chairman of the Central election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova.

the CEC Chairman assured that the vote will take place with observance of all sanitary norms and requirements. “Despite the fact that there is an improvement of the situation with coronavirus, of course, we are reinsured. Still nobody in the world does not exclude the possibility of a second wave, and almost all countries will use the security measures. We should not relax too soon,” — said Pamfilova.

“each site will be non-contact thermometer. Be sure masks and gloves. We all provide even disposable pens. We are reinsured and by distance to disperse potential voters,” — said the CEC Chairman.

Ella Pamfilova drew attention to the unconventional time of the vote, which will last for six days before the main voting day: “This is to ensure that our citizens had the opportunity to vote when they are the most comfortable, for seven days.”

Pamfilova stressed that it will be exclusive and unique socio-political event: “Therefore, the special law adopted, which differs in many respects from the law on elections. We believe that is unacceptable it would be to combine the elections and a nationwide vote.”
