Heavy loss for the finale of “Let’s Dance”: Presenter Daniel Hartwich cannot take part on Friday evening “due to illness”.

The team around the RTL show “Let’s Dance” has to move into the final on Friday evening at 8:15 p.m. (also on RTL) weakened. As the broadcaster reports, the moderator Daniel Hartwich (43) fails. He could not participate “due to illness”. He will be replaced by Jan Köppen (39), who will lead through the evening alongside co-moderator Victoria Swarovski (28).

Not new territory for Köppen: Already in the fifth episode of this year’s season he represented Hartwich, who could not be there at the time due to a corona infection. Before his baptism of fire, Köppen said in March: “I’m a bit afraid that I’ll screw up tonight, but then come back as a candidate next year and then Llambi will give me everything back.” Now his comeback is coming sooner than expected.

Three celebrities are in the “Let’s Dance” finale

In the final for the title “Dancing Star 2022” the athlete Mathias Mester (35), presenter Janin Ullmann (40) and the “Ninja Warrior” René Casselly (25) argue. Former Icelandic soccer player Rúrik Gíslason (34) took home the coveted trophy last year. As usual, the jury includes Motsi Mabuse (41), Jorge González (54) and “Let’s Dance” veteran Joachim Llambi (57).
