The integration of “Daredevil” into the MCU is taking shape. Apparently, Disney is now daring to start a new series about the blind superhero.

New hope for all fans of the former Netflix series “Marvel’s Daredevil”, which was canceled after only three seasons. According to information from the US site “Variety”, Disney is working on a new series about the blind superhero. The project is finally picking up speed after months of rumours. The first important personal details have already been clarified: Matt Corman and Chris Ord are to write the screenplay together and also produce the series.

However, the most important question remains unanswered. It has not yet been officially confirmed whether Charlie Cox (39) will again play the title role Daredevil aka lawyer Matt Murdock. However, after his guest appearance in the blockbuster “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” in which he played the part once again, that seems highly likely. And his opponent Wilson Fisk, better known as underworld boss Kingpin, recently celebrated his premiere in the official Marvel Cinematic Universe. Again he was embodied in his appearance in the series “Hawkeye” by Vincent D’Onofrio (62).

A job for Cox?

For three seasons, from 2015 to 2018, Cox played the blind lawyer Matt Murdock, who hunts criminals at night as a masked hero in “Marvel’s Daredevil” on Netflix. After Netflix returned the rights to the Marvel character, it was quiet until his “Spider-Man” appearance.

Fans have consistently called for a comeback for Daredevil and its incorporation into the MCU. Now it seems that Marvel has also heard the wishes for its own series. At the end of last year, Marvel boss Kevin Feige promised that only Charlie Cox would be considered for the role should Daredevil return – which it now looks like more than ever.
