Shortly before we set off on our road trip, Thomas is supposed to sign a few more photos. Christine, his wife, has laid out the printouts on his desk for him, along with a black felt-tip pen and the stamp of the Magnum agency. Thomas picks up one of the pictures and looks at it. Christine wants to know what’s going on, it’s getting late, everything’s packed, he just has to sign. He wants to know whether the picture is of him. Christine looks at him in astonishment.
