Fernanda Brandao has spoken about the dramatic birth of her daughter, which left both mother and child in mortal danger.
Fernanda Brandao (39) and her fiancé Roman Weber (36) announced the birth of their daughter in April 2022. “It’s a wonderful gift, I’ve wanted to become a mother for a long time,” explains the singer and fitness trainer in an interview with RTL. But the pregnancy and the birth of Aurora presented the young family with great challenges.
Actually, the couple would have preferred a home birth in their wooden hut in the wilderness of Lapland, but in the ninth month Brandao had problems. The singer was hospitalized. “When I saw the doctors, I saw that it was serious,” says the mother, looking back at the situation. She suffered from preeclampsia, also known as pregnancy poisoning, “in which blood pressure rises and both mother and child are in great danger,” explains the 39-year-old. As a result, her daughter had to be delivered by caesarean section. “If I hadn’t had a doctor and was too far from the hospital, I wouldn’t know if I would be sitting here now, or my daughter – it’s very humbling,” says the singer.
Fernanda Brandao: “My world collapsed there”
Two days after the birth, the couple received the next diagnosis: “When it was said that we all have Corona and when I saw how she was being treated […] and I was worried about how she would survive, there it is my world collapsed.” But the little one survived the infection with the corona virus without complications and the three can now enjoy their small family happiness. Brandao also shows this on Instagram. Captioning a recent photo of her cuddling up with her daughter, she wrote, “I was about to do yoga but this is a thousand times prettier.”
Brandao also announced the birth of her daughter on her Instagram account. She wrote “Welcome baby” and “We love you” to a photo in which she stands laughing under a clothesline with baby clothes and holds more baby gifts in her hand. She garnished the post with chick and heart emojis. In the “Bunte” interview, the couple announced an exciting life for their offspring in November 2021. “Fernanda and I both don’t want to settle down. We’ll live like nomads and see where life takes us,” said Weber.
Fernanda Brandao became known, among other things, through the band Hot Banditoz. The group celebrated successes between 2004 and 2010 with songs like “Veo Veo” or “Shake Your Balla”. She also works as a dancer, presenter and fitness trainer. Among other things, Brandao was a jury member for the eighth season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in 2011 and appeared in numerous TV shows such as “The Perfect Celebrity Dinner”, “Grill den Henssler” or “Schlag den Star”.
