Nico Rosberg, 2016 Formula 1 World Champion, works as a TV expert to analyze drivers and races. At the moment, however, he can only do his job to a limited extent because he is no longer allowed in the paddock. The reason: He is not vaccinated.

Formula 1 tightened its corona rules this year. If you came to the paddock last year with a negative PCR test, proof of vaccination is currently required. Former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg feels this: At the moment, he can only do his job as a TV expert to a limited extent because he does not have a corona vaccination.

“I got over a corona disease well and therefore have monster antibodies in me. I also have my antibodies tested regularly,” explained Rosberg at Sport1 for not vaccinating against the corona virus. His doctor advised him “that vaccination would make absolutely no sense”.

When the former Mercedes driver last tried to enter the paddock in his adopted home of Monaco, he was rejected, according to Sport1. He was also unable to produce a medical exemption. So the British television broadcaster Sky Sports had no choice but to switch Rosberg back to the TV broadcast from his apartment.
