Nord Stream 1: From northern Russia to Greifswald
The 1224-kilometer pipeline from 2011 runs in two strands through the Baltic Sea from Vyborg, Russia, to Lubmin near Greifswald. The gas mainly comes from the Bovanenkovo zone in western Siberia. From time to time there are technical delivery failures. Gas deliveries fell in spring because customers cut back on orders due to high temperatures and less heating requirements.
