Lijana Kaggwa and Nathalie Volk make allegations against “GNTM”. ProSieben now apparently wants to take legal action against the ex-candidates.

Nathalie Volk (25) made serious allegations against the model casting show “Germany’s next top model” and Heidi Klum (48) in an Instagram story. The ninth season contestant from 2014 claims, among other things, that a doctor only came to her after three days of shooting, even though she was in pain. She also wrote: “I have scars on my body because of Heidi. Maybe the production should suggest a psychologist to me?”

Ex-candidate Lijana Kaggwa had previously made initial allegations in a YouTube video. The model left the show voluntarily in 2020. As a reason for her surprising exit, she cited the constant bullying of television viewers, from which she says she still suffers to this day. In her current clip, she accuses the production company, among other things, of leaving nothing to chance and of creating situations that cause dramatic scenes and should lead to disputes among the models.

Allegations are “unfounded”

When asked by “t-online”, a “GNTM” spokeswoman said: “Both receive mail from us. Nathalie Volk claims things in this context that we will take legal action against.” Anyone who needs a doctor at “GNTM” or asks for a doctor will get a doctor directly and immediately, the statement says. A total of 340 candidates have been in the top 20 in the format so far. “Some are critical, which we take seriously. Others – such as Nathalie Volk – raise allegations of a pool splash eight years later, which are unfounded.” In her Instagram story, Volk claimed that she suffered bruises when Heidi Klum pushed her into the pool.

Next Thursday (May 26th) the 17th season of “Germany’s next top model” will end. Five models will then fight for the prize money of 100,000 euros: Luca (20), Anita (21), Lou-Anne (19), Noëlla (25) and Martina (50). The winner also adorns the cover of the German “Harper’s Bazaar” and becomes the face of the Mac Cosmetics campaign.
