Little Lilibet turned one year old on June 4th. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan apparently hosted a garden party.

Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) celebrated their daughter Lilibet’s first birthday on June 4th. According to a media report, the two held a garden party. Harry and Meghan are back in his native UK with their children Lilibet and Archie (3) as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s (96) platinum anniversary.

The couple is said to have celebrated the very casual party in a small circle in Frogmore Cottage, as reported by the British tabloid “The Sun”. According to several insiders, pretty much everything that makes a celebration for children was on offer – a delicious birthday cake, balloons, games and snacks. Everything should therefore be “quite relaxed and easygoing”.

The guests reportedly included Mia (8), Lena (3) and Lucas (1), the children of Princess Anne’s (71) daughter Zara (41) and her husband Mike Tindall (43). Savannah (11) and Isla (10), the daughters of Anne’s son Peter Phillips (44), are said to have been there. Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4), the children of Prince William (39) and Duchess Kate (40), were apparently not there. George and Charlotte had at least accompanied their parents on a visit to Cardiff.

Birthday greetings from the royals

According to media reports, the Queen is said to have recently met Lilibet in person for the first time. In early 2020, Harry and Meghan had stepped down as senior royals and moved to the United States with their son Archie. Their daughter was born in California last year.

The royals also wished Lilibet a happy birthday on Twitter. The Queen’s official account read: “Wishing Lilibet a very Happy 1st Birthday!” Similar messages were also published on the account of Prince Charles (73) and Duchess Camilla (74) as well as on the account of William and Kate.
