Jasmin Wagner alias Blümchen remembers her time as a teenage star. Here’s how she dealt with the media frenzy.

Jasmin Wagner (42), known as Blümchen, remembers how she experienced her early success as a teenage star. It was “golden” for her at the time, “that I let my girlfriends participate in everything,” she says in an interview with “ZEITmagazin” according to a preliminary report. “They were with me at concerts, at autograph sessions. They experienced all sides of this life, the beautiful and the difficult.” The singer, actress and presenter became known in the 90s with hits like “Herz to Herz”.

Blümchen was just 15 years old when she started her career. Wagner “understood early on how the game could work well for me. ‘Bravo’ and other youth magazines always wanted to make new stories with me.” Then she and her friends thought about what they would like to experience together. “That was then implemented for these magazines: we would go skydiving together or swim with dolphins, it was great fun.”

Blümchen comeback with “Computerliebe”

At the beginning of 2019, Jasmin Wagner celebrated her flower comeback after around 18 years – and with “Computerliebe” she also had a new single in her luggage. In 2021, the 42-year-old then dedicated herself to a new genre of music: electro hits. She recently performed at the Megapark in Mallorca and shared impressions of the concert with her fans on Instagram.

There were also private changes at Wagner: in 2020 the singer separated from her husband, Frank Sippel. “Some are having lockdown babies – and I’m having a lockdown divorce,” she laughed, speaking to spot on news in April 2021. At the end of 2021 she told the magazine “Bunte”: “This year love came back into my life”. She was alluding to a new partnership with a Danish entrepreneur from the fashion industry.
