Keanu Reeves attended Formula 1 qualifying at Silverstone. For him, it was an “incredible” experience.

Even before the Formula 1 race on Sunday, several celebrities showed up at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. Among others, Hollywood star Keanu Reeves (57) was there on Saturday to follow qualifying. In an interview with “Eurosport” the actor was enthusiastic.

He was there for the first time and experienced the spectacle as “absolutely thrilling”. Reeves was stunned and said he just wanted to ride it himself as he watched it all from the track. The star also raves in an interview with “Sky Sports F1”. “It was wet, but it was thrilling,” says Reeves. Seeing the speed of the cars up close in the rain and how quickly they take the curves was “incredible”.

Reeves is working on Formula 1 documentation

The actor came at the invitation of Formula 1 sports director Ross Brawn (67), he explains. Reeves is currently working on a documentary about the 2009 season, he explains – and also reveals what role he will play in it. The 57-year-old will lead through the documentary.

However, Reeves will probably not watch the race live on site this Sunday. Because a friend of the actor is celebrating his 50th birthday. A dinner with his mother and a few friends is planned.
