Travis Barker (46) has now reported back to his fans after the moment of shock last week. The Blink 182 drummer was hospitalized on June 28 with an acute pancreatitis. In an Instagram story, the musician now explains what happened: “I went for an endoscopy on Monday and felt great, but after dinner I got unbearable pain and was taken to the hospital.”
A “very small polyp” was removed during the endoscopy. “Unfortunately, an important drainage tube of the pancreas was damaged in the process,” said Barker. This led to “severe, life-threatening pancreatitis”. However, after “intensive treatment” Barker would be “much better”. He was “very grateful”.
‘Scary Week’ for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
The musician’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian (43), also spoke on Instagram about the events. It was a “scary and emotional week” for her. She thanked God for “my husband’s healing, for all your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support.” The specialists, doctors and nurses from the hospital would have “taken such wonderful care of my husband and I,” she enthuses.
The 43-year-old also slammed paparazzi for selling photos of her partying while her husband was in hospital. “I can’t even remember when I wore the sweatsuit in the photos,” Kardashian explained.
