For Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi, newly crowned Champions League winners Real Madrid have not been the best team in this year’s premier class. The Argentine revealed this in an interview with TyC Sports. “It’s not always the best who wins,” he said when asked about Real’s triumph.

“Without wanting to belittle it, because they won the Champions League, Real Madrid weren’t the best team in the Champions League – and yet they beat everyone,” said Messi.

Messi sees Benzema ahead at the Ballon d’Or
