Manchester City are reportedly looking to sign Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United. There he could be replaced by a Bayern player.

Premier League champions Manchester City continue to tinker with their team for years to come. After the king’s transfer of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund to the Skyblues was made official, star coach Pep Guardiola’s team is now looking for a successor to Fernandinho.

Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips is City’s target of choice, according to the Times. The 26-year-old midfielder should start preparing for the season from mid-July. Philipps is contractually bound to Leeds until 2024. So far, however, he has made no move to extend his contract with the relegation candidate.

Leeds: Roca coming from Bayern?

A successor to Philipps at Leeds United could be Marc Roca. According to corresponding Spanish media reports, the Spaniard is to switch from FC Bayern Munich to the Premier League. Marca named Leeds United as the most likely target for the 25-year-old midfielder.

Accordingly, Roca should sign a contract there until 2026, with a transfer fee of between 13 and 15 million euros.
