The director Anika Decker and the actor Elyas M’Barek know the great success in the cinema – and its consequences.

Ms. Decker, you used to want to be a journalist. What would be a good opening question to break the ice with the film star Elyas M’Barek? Decker: I can try: Elyas, at a film premiere like our new feature film, do you even get a sense of how the audience is feeling, or do you have it all other thoughts in mind?

M’Barek: I don’t know if you can really feel the atmosphere at a premiere. These are not normal cinema audiences, they are guests, friends and sponsors who are sometimes too euphoric. Such premieres are beautiful, but they are not always honest.
