It’s a burden – even as a child. At some point, Prince George will ascend the British throne. William and Kate are already preparing him for his future role.

“What have the children grown up to!”, one couldn’t help but think as the Cambridge kids performed at the anniversary celebrations for their great-grandmother “Gan-Gan”, also known as Queen Elizabeth II, last week.

Especially Prince George, who turns nine next month, looked like a “mini-me” of his father Prince William in his small but perfectly tailored blazer with long trousers and tie.

And the Queen apparently also attached great importance to surrounding herself directly with the most important family members, namely with her heirs to the throne in the next three Windsor generations: Charles, William and George, especially on her big balcony appearance on the last day of the platinum anniversary weekend.
