“We, the Palestinians no longer believe that America is a suitable mediator in the peace process. We still believe in Russia’s role in the Quartet, because we are very well aware of her position and appreciate that. Today the problem is that the Americans are trying to impose your plan — I mean “deal of the century”. This unilateral action without any international support. We are dedicated to peace, and we need to achieve it. Our President condemns all violent acts no matter where it was. At the same time, we need our rights and our country. And we believe that the best way to accomplish this is for a two-state solution. And we remember that this approach was supported by 140 countries around the world,” said Abdel Hafiz Nofal, Ambassador of the state of Palestine in the Russian Federation.
