As of today, the Corona regulations for companies in Germany no longer apply. Ministries recommend that employers constantly adapt the risk assessment to the infection process.

The special corona regulations of the legislator for companies in Germany have expired as planned.

“However, relevant regional and operational outbreaks of infection cannot be ruled out,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Labor. Employers are therefore asked to constantly adapt their risk assessment to the infection process. The ministry will provide recommendations for this on its website.

A week ago, the ministry said that given the steady decline in the number of infections, there was currently no reason to extend the Sars-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance beyond May 25th. In addition, the rules had already been relaxed in March. Most recently, the employer has to check as part of a risk assessment whether certain measures are necessary – such as working from home, free tests and the provision of protective masks.
