Paris and Prince Jackson shared a stage together to honor their late father.

Paris (24) and Prince (25) Jackson are not often seen together in public, in honor of their late father Michael Jackson (1958-2009) they now made an exception. The siblings attended the 75th Tony Awards in New York City on Sunday night and jointly announced a number from the new musical ‘MJ the Musical.’

The play chronicles the career of the late King of Pop and garnered ten nominations from the Tony Awards – America’s top honor for plays and musicals. In the end, the show was able to look forward to four prizes. The main actor Myles Frost (22) was awarded.

Michael Jackson “loved musicals”

“A lot of people seem to think that our father Michael Jackson changed pop music forever. And who are we to disagree?” Prince Jackson joked on stage. “But what people might not know is that he loved musicals, films and the stage,” added the King of Pop’s eldest son.

It is therefore a great honor for him and his sister to present the musical, which “through its numerous iconic hits illuminates the complexity and brilliance of our father in his creative process”.

Paris Jackson then announced the segment from “MJ the Musical”. “This number sheds light on this creative process and shows how, step by step, one of his most popular hits develops from a dance rehearsal”. Myles Frost and his colleagues then took the stage and performed “Smooth Criminal” from Jackson’s 1987 album Bad.
