Russian President Vladimir Putin said on amendments to the Constitution during his address to the Federal Assembly in February 2020, he was supported by a majority of votes. The vote was originally scheduled for April 22, 2020. However, due to the pandemic coronavirus COVID-19 it was moved. Citizens of Russia voted from 25 June to 1 July. Just voted 67,97% of the voters. 77.92 percent (about 58 million) supported the amendments to the Constitution. Voted against 21.27 percent, or 16 million.
