The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations came to an end on Sunday. In an emotional statement, she then thanked the fans.

At the celebrations for her platinum throne jubilee, there were many words of thanks for Queen Elizabeth II (96). The monarch gave that back. After the conclusion of the four-day festival, she declared: “When it comes to celebrating 70 years as Queen, there is no guide to follow. It is truly a first.” She added in the statement, which was published on Instagram, among other things: “But I am deeply impressed and deeply touched that so many people were on the streets to celebrate my platinum anniversary.”

The Queen continued: “While I may not have attended every event in person, my heart was with you all; and I remain committed to serving you to the best of my ability, supported by my family.”

She was “inspired” by the “kindness, joy and connection” that has been seen in the past few days. “And I hope that this renewed sense of togetherness will be felt for many years to come,” said the Queen. “I sincerely thank you for your well wishes and for the role you all played in these happy celebrations.”

As part of the grand finale of the celebrations, Queen Elizabeth II made a surprise appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on Sunday (June 5). Also present were Prince Charles (73), Duchess Camilla (74), Prince William (39), Duchess Kate (40) and their children, Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4).

As the festivities began, the monarch appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with her family on Thursday to celebrate the Trooping the Color parade. However, due to mobility problems, she was unable to attend all of her jubilee events.
