Real and Atletico Madrid are apparently in a duel for Sporting Lisbon right-back Pedro Porro.

Real Madrid have their eye on Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro, according to Mundo Deportivo. Accordingly, one is looking for an alternative to Dani Carvajal, which can also set offensive accents. The 22-year-old Porro is said to fit the Royal requirements.

Estadio Deportivo report that Atletico Madrid are also closely monitoring the Spaniard’s situation. This could lead to a duel between the two Madrid clubs. The Colchoneros are said to have been fighting for Porro as early as March, but the player was too expensive for the club at the time.

Sporting: Porro with a release clause of 45 million euros

Porro has a contract with the Portuguese that runs until 2025, but it comes with a €45m release clause. Sporting signed the Spanish international after a loan from Manchester City just a few days ago for a fee of 8.5 million euros.

On Monday, Porro said he was ‘very happy to continue at Sporting’. According to the Portuguese sports newspaper O Jogo, however, the capital would let their right-back go if they were offered 35 million.
