Residents of tel Aviv protesting against Israel's annexation of the West Bank

In tel Aviv was held to protest against the plans of Israel to Annex part of the territory of the West Bank. Thousands of people blocked the streets of the city. To disperse the protesters, police had to use force, transfers TV channel “Russia 24”.

Similar events were held earlier in Palestine. The demonstrators chanted anti-Israeli and anti-American slogans, waving Palestinian flags and holding placards, the inscriptions on which read: “No annexation of the West Bank”.

In January 2020, the President of the United States Donald trump and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu presented a plan to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. According to it, Jerusalem was recognized as the capital of Israel. But the Jewish state was able to extend its sovereignty over the Jordan valley. It is expected that the government of Israel will present its strategy for the annexation of the territories on 1 July.
