“Moving and beautiful” is said to be a previously unknown song by Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. His bandmates want to posthumously release the song.

The rock band Queen wants to release a previously unknown song from their time with singer Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991. The song, titled “Face It Alone,” will be out in September, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor announced in a BBC interview.

For a long time, they had no hope of being able to save the incomplete piece of music again, May said. In the end, however, it was successful. May described the song as “moving and beautiful”. Taylor spoke of a “passionate” song and “a little gem from Freddie” that was almost forgotten.

The two remaining Queen founding members only performed live on Saturday at a concert celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s throne at Buckingham Palace with their new singer Adam Lambert.
