The rating jumps onto the podium: Around 2.1 million viewers were there when “RTL Turmsprung” celebrated its premiere on June 3rd. It was almost the comeback for Stefan Raab’s (55) “TV total Turmsprung”, in which well-known faces from the media landscape jumped into the water at ProSieben from 2004 to 2015. Now the German television legend had produced the celebrity sports event for the rival broadcaster RTL (also on RTL).

According to the broadcaster, 21.6 percent of viewers in the target group of 14 to 49 year olds and 16.5 percent of 14 to 59 year olds watched the spectacle. Accordingly, the format won the gold medal in terms of market share in prime time in both target groups.

20 celebrities, including athletes and “Let’s Dance” star Mathias Mester (35), king of the jungle Filip Pavlovic (27), presenter Lola Weippert (26) and ex-“Bachelor” Paul Janke (40), competed on Friday evening.
