Striker Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart has for the first time commented on rumors about an alleged interest from FC Bayern Munich.

Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart is currently being traded as a possible successor to Robert Lewandowski, who is willing to change at FC Bayern. Now the 24-year-old attacker spoke about the rumors.

Kalajdzic told the Austrian daily Krone: “There is nothing concrete on the table from Bayern or others.”

However, he emphasized that he would “have talks with Stuttgart and my advisor Sascha Empacher over the next few days”: “The hot days are coming, and not just because of the weather.”

Sasa Kalajdzic? “One of the best strikers in Europe!”

The fact that he was described by Sky expert Didi Hamann as one of the best strikers in Europe makes him proud, but he was “not constant this season”: “Shoulder surgery, calf problems, Corona – it was the toughest season of his career. That’s why I’m even happier with how it all ended!”

Kalajdzic is one of several names that are considered candidates at FC Bayern – but also at Borussia Dortmund to succeed Erling Haaland. His fee is rumored to be around 25 million euros. The Austrian’s contract, like Lewandowski’s, runs until 2023.

In the past season he scored six league goals in 15 appearances for VfB and prepared two more goals.
