Peter Parker aka Spider-Man swings back into the cinemas for an extended cut of the blockbuster “No Way Home”.

Fans of the extremely successful film “Spider-Man: No Way Home” can look forward to an XXL edition that will once again conquer the cinemas. The official Twitter account for the comic blockbuster shared: “You wanted more Spidey and you’re getting him! ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version’ hits the US and Canada on September 2nd in cinemas. More countries to be announced soon.”

So it is not yet clear whether the longer version will also be shown in Germany – but given the large cinema market in this country, it is quite likely. An extended version of the Marvel film “Avengers: Endgame” was released in Germany some time after its release, which added seven minutes of bonus material after the credits to the already three-hour long strip.

Will he get past the “Infinity War”?

With “Spider-Man: No Way Home” film studio Sony Pictures has managed a real coup. At just over $1.9 billion, it is the sixth highest-grossing film of all time. In addition, Tom Holland’s (26) third solo adventure as Peter Parker was the most successful film to appear during the corona pandemic.

In order to climb a place in the ranking, the friendly neighborhood spider would have to net almost another 150 million. His Avengers colleagues are currently in fifth place with their “Infinity War”.
