Spotify has dared to predict which songs will be played the most in the summer – Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” is at the top.

Spotify has made a prediction for 20 hits that could see us through the summer of 2022. Above all, Lizzo (34) will be number 1 in the international top lists with “About Damn Time”.

Songs for the heavy rotation of the summer

Other contenders for the summer hit of the year are: “As It Was” by Harry Styles, “Big Energy” by Latto, “Die Hard” by Kendrick Lamar, Blxst and Amanda Reifer, “I Like You (A Happier Song)” by Post Malone and Doja Cat, “Supermodel” by Maneskin or “Wait For U” by Future.

Other songs to be played up and down over the next three months, according to Spotify: “Amazing” by Rex Orange County, “Ferrari” by James Hype and Miggy Dela Rosa, “First Class” by Jack Harlow, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” by Hitkidd and GloRilla, “Last Last” by Burna Boy, “No One Dies From Love” by Tove Lo, “Ojitos Lindos” by Bad Bunny, “Potion” by Calvin Harris, “Provenza” by Karol G, “She Had Met A Heads Carolina” by Cole Swindell, “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan, “Sunroof” by Nicky Youre and dazy and “The Dress” by Dijon.

Spotify has also put together an extra list for Germany, which includes songs by Alle Farben, Milky Chance and Felix Jaehn. But international stars are also represented there, such as Ed Sheeran, Jason Derulo or OneRepublic. The playlist with a total of 65 songs can be found under the name “Summer Hits 2022”.

All songs can be discovered and heard on the “Songs of Summer” playlist on Spotify. Spotify also commented in a press release on how the streamer’s music department determined the songs. The team considered a number of factors, including the song’s current popularity curve, the track’s cultural impact, and previous years’ projections.
