From June 15, Sharon Battiste will be looking for happiness in love as the ninth “Bachelorette”. Did your predecessors find love?

From June 15, Sharon Battiste (30) is looking for her dream man as the new “Bachelorette” (8:15 p.m., RTL or via RTL). Will she find the right one among the single men? So it was with her predecessors.

Monica Ivancan

She was the first “Bachelorette”: In 2004, the then 27-year-old model Monica Ivancan (44) looked for her personal “Mr. Right” among 25 candidates. The season was filmed on the French Riviera. Ivancan’s choice ultimately fell on police officer Mark Quinkenstein. However, their liaison ended three weeks after the end of shooting and thus even before the show was broadcast. Later, the rose lady drew media attention again through her love life: between 2005 and 2009 she was in a relationship with comedian Oliver Pocher (44).

After two failed relationships in the public eye, Ivancan has now found her private happiness: she has been with the financial entrepreneur Christian Meier since 2012, the wedding of the two followed in June 2015. Since then she has had the double name Meier-Ivancan. The couple have two children. Daughter Rosa was born in May 2013 and son Anton was born in April 2016. Mark Quinkenstein, on the other hand, withdrew from the public after his “Bachelorette” participation.

Anna Hofbauer

For a few years, Anna Hofbauer (34) and the winner of the second “Bachelorette” season Marvin Albrecht were proof that couples can be happy together beyond the end of the dome shows. Ten years after its predecessor Ivancan, the second “Bachelorette” fell in love with the Düsseldorfer in Portugal in 2014 and gave him the last rose. After a few months of long-distance relationship, Hofbauer moved from Berlin to Düsseldorf for Albrecht. In 2015, the couple won the RTL dance show “Stepping Out” together. After almost three years of relationship, the musical actress announced the separation in February 2017. In an interview with RTL, she later said that it had failed due to different attitudes when it came to the desire to have children and plans for the future.

Both candidates have now found a new love. In the fall of 2017, there were sparks between Hofbauer and ex-“Verbotene Liebe” actor Marc Barthel (32). The couple lives together in Berlin. Their first son Leo was born in 2019, and the two married in December 2020. The couple is currently expecting their second child. Marvin Albrecht has been in a relationship with model Simone Voss since 2018.

Alisa Persch

In 2015, teacher Alisa Persch (34) chose fitness trainer Patrick Cuninka (31) as “Bachelorette” from 20 men. Filming also took place in Portugal. But the love didn’t last long. In March 2016, they announced their separation on their Instagram channels. Nobody gave a reason for the end of the relationship. The following year, Persch took a social media break and withdrew from the public eye.

In mid-August 2020, the former “Bachelorette” surprisingly announced her engagement on Instagram. Showing herself with her partner and a ring on her finger, she wrote “Yes!

Jessica Haller

After Jessica Haller – born Paszka (32) did not work with love in 2014 on “The Bachelor”, she tried her luck in 2017 as “Bachelorette”. In Marbella, Spain, she met 20 men and ultimately chose Electric Callboy singer David Friedrich (32) in the final – and thus against second-placed Johannes Haller (34). But the relationship between the “Bachelorette” couple only lasted a few months. In September 2017, Friedrich announced the separation from Paszka on Instagram.

After a love affair with footballer Ajdin Hrustic (25) from 2018 to 2019, the ex-“Bachelorette” is in a relationship with her almost chosen Johannes Haller – and is now even married. After secretly photographed kissing photos of the two in Ibiza, the couple confirmed their relationship in early October 2020. In mid-December 2020, Paszka announced her pregnancy. A few weeks later, she also posted her engagement ring. On May 6, 2021, the two announced the birth of their daughter. In December 2021 the wedding bells rang.

In March 2019, David Friedrich introduced the “Bachelor” candidate Maxime Herbord (27) as his new girlfriend. In February 2021, they made their separation public. A short time later there were sparks between him and RTL reporter Sina Lacey, and he announced the relationship in October 2021.

Nadine Klein

Also in 2018, a former “Bachelor” candidate was allowed to look for love on TV as “Bachelorette”: Nadine Klein (36) failed earlier in the same year when Daniel Völz (37) sent her home in the fifth episode. For this she awarded the roses herself in the fifth season of “Bachelorette”. Personal trainer Alexander Hindersmann (33) received her last. After that, the two appeared as a happy couple at joint appearances such as a visit to the Oktoberfest. They announced their split in November 2018. Klein later blamed public pressure for the failure of their relationship.

In May 2019, Klein made it public on Instagram that there was a new man by her side. Her boyfriend Tim (32), like Klein, is also from Berlin. In September 2021, the couple said yes. The two mostly keep their love out of the public eye.

Alexander Hindersmann, on the other hand, took part in the subsequent “Bachelorette” season with Gerda Lewis (29) and then in the spin-off “Bachelor in Paradise” after the relationship with Klein ended. Both times it emerged as a single from the respective format. In June 2020 he announced his relationship with ex-“Bachelor” candidate Wioleta Psiuk (30). She previously courted “Bachelor” Sebastian Preuss (32). The couple announced their split in September 2020.

Gerda Lewis

Influencer and former “GNTM” candidate Gerda Lewis (29) became the sixth “Bachelorette”. In 2019 she was looking for her dream man in RTL format. In Greece, project engineer Keno Rüst (30) emerged as the favorite early on. He also received the model’s final rose. Almost six weeks after the final broadcast in September, the “Bachelorette” and the East Frisian went their separate ways again. During a California vacation together, the couple noticed that they were “more like friends,” Lewis explained in her Instagram story in mid-October.

The former “Bachelorette” does not seem to have a good hand in love. At the turn of the year 2020, she announced her relationship with wrestler Melvin Pelzer (27) with a kissing photo. After moving in together a short time later, the couple announced their split in July. Although Lewis admitted that ex-boyfriend Rüst played a role in the separation, there was no love comeback between the “Bachelorette” couple. On Valentine’s Day 2022, Rüst appeared with an unknown woman at his side. Since then he has published several couple pictures with the blonde.

Melissa Damilia

Like Paszka and Klein, Melissa Damilia (26) brought dating show experience in 2020, but not as a former “Bachelor” candidate. Damilia was part of the RTLzwei dome show “Love Island” in 2019. But it wasn’t supposed to work out with love and so she went in search of love as “Bachelorette”. She celebrated her happy ending with winner Leander Sacher (24). In March 2022, she announced her separation from the entrepreneur. “I’m a happy single,” she announced in an interview with RTL.

Maxime Herbord

After participating in “Bachelor” Daniel Völz (37) in 2018 and the failed relationship with David Friedrich in 2021, Maxime Herbord was looking for love as “Bachelorette” in 2021. Your choice among the 20 single men ultimately fell on the Austrian Raphael Fasching (24). But the relationship was not under a lucky star – after the final, Herbord spoke about getting to know each other again. In October 2021, Fasching announced via Instagram that he and the “Bachelorette” would go their separate ways in the future.

In the meantime, both have found their happiness in love elsewhere. In April 2022, Maxime Herbord published a kissing video with an unknown person, on which only the shadows of the lovers can be seen. She did not reveal who the man by her side is. Meanwhile, Fasching found love within the “Bachelor” universe. In March 2022, he and Kim-Denise Lang (23) announced their relationship. In 2021, Lang had still fought for the heart of Bachelor Niko Griesert (31). The two met by chance at a birthday party.
