The third season of “The Boys” has barely started when Amazon Prime Video announces the fourth season.

While the third season has just started, fans can already look forward to more episodes. Amazon Prime Video has officially announced that the brutal superhero satire “The Boys” will also get a fourth season.

There is no date yet and all other details, such as the cast, are still unknown. The streaming service has been showing the new episodes that are published weekly since June 3rd. The third season finale will air on July 8th.

Filming probably as early as the end of 2022

In an interview with the industry magazine “Variety”, Karl Urban (50) had already indicated in March that things would probably continue. In “The Boys” he plays the role of Billy Butcher, who is dedicated to fighting supposed heroes like Homelander (Antony Starr, 46). The actor had said that he would probably shoot new episodes at the end of 2022. The fourth season could possibly be seen as early as 2023.

In addition, there is already the animated anthology series “The Boys Presents: Diabolical” on Amazon Prime Video and another series in the “The Boys” universe is in the making. An untitled spin-off is currently in production and will be set at the only college for teenage superheroes in the United States.
