In China, students are encouraged to study marxism, but beware of those who want to move from theory to practice. An advocacy group for the rights of the workers says that at least ten of its members were arrested Friday evening by the police in several cities of the country. Five of them were young graduates of the prestigious Beijing University and one of them, Zhang Shengye has been “kidnapped” on campus, according to the same source. A witness told AFP that the young man had been beaten by individuals dressed in dark-colored before being taken away in a car.
The association referred to supports the employees of Jasic Technology, which required the creation of a union of their own in their Shenzhen factory.
