A man is dizzy, he can no longer speak properly. A doctor finds out how it all started: with a moment of relaxation

A man was admitted to the emergency room because of sudden dizziness and subsequent difficulty finding words. The paramedics suspect a stroke. The results of some examinations supported the suspicion of a stroke – the man could no longer write either. “Aphasia” – in which the brain can no longer process language properly – is typical of a stroke. Since the man on the right side could not see anything, the doctor suspected the stroke in the left hemisphere.
The doctor actually discovered several mini-infarcts on the MRI scans. The exciting thing about the case: How did the stroke come about, what was the trigger? The doctor concluded: it must have happened in a moment of relaxation.
