Head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen and Vice-President of the EC, the head of diplomacy of the European Union Josep Borrell called on the US to reconsider the decision on rupture of relations with the world health organization. In a joint statement released by the Leyen and Borrell says that the EU will continue to support the organization in the fight against the pandemic and has already provided additional funding. The EU leaders believe that only global cooperation and solidarity will be the only effective way to combat the spread of coronavirus.
