head of administration of the Tambov region Alexander Nikitin is going to be nominated in the fall of 2020 to a new period.
As the channel “Russia 24”, the official informed the public during his communicate via video link with Russian President Vladimir Putin and asked him for his support of this decision.
Nikitin told the President that for the past five years, the region experienced many social and economic reforms, stressing that there are still a number of unresolved issues and he wants to solve them to the end.
In response, Putin said that the overall situation in the region is developing positively, noting low unemployment and growth of local gross domestic product. He wished Nikitin success in the elections, stressing that now it needed to prove Tambovtsev that he deserves to hold office a second term.
a native of the city of Michurinsk Tambov region, 44-year-old Nikitin graduated from the local agricultural University, specialty “Finance and credit”, is a doctor of economic Sciences. He was elected to the Tambov regional Duma, was its speaker.
