She has been playing the insidious businesswoman Katrin Flemming on “GZSZ” for 20 years. Here Ulrike Frank tells what she appreciates about the role, how she gets along privately with her TV accomplice Jo Gerner and what was the worst thing she ever had to play.
Ulrike Frank, how often do you ask yourself in difficult everyday situations: what would Katrin Flemming do now? Sometimes there are such moments, but even then I remain true to myself as Ulrike. I think it’s good that my role is so different from me. This makes it easy for me to put them down and switch off after work.
How are you different from your role? We are very different, even on the outside. Katrin Flemming is actually always styled chic. I like to be without make-up and prefer to wear jeans and a t-shirt.
