More than three years after the violent death of US rapper Nipsey Hussle, a suspect has to answer in court. The murder trial of a 32-year-old man began in Los Angeles with the selection of jurors.

According to the prosecutor’s office, he is charged with murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of a weapon and assault. If found guilty, he faces life imprisonment. The man pleaded not guilty after his arrest.

The 33-year-old Hussle (“Victory Lap”) was shot dead in a Los Angeles parking lot in March 2019. The shots were fired outside a clothing store that Hussle co-owned. Two other men were injured. The suspect, who fled the scene, was arrested two days later in the Los Angeles area.
