Vladimir Putin will give a televised address

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday will make a televised address to the citizens of Russia. This was reported by press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov. He added that the speech will be “roughly closer to two o’clock”.

Putin will address to the Russians on the eve of 1 July, the main day of voting on amendments to the Constitution. The voting started on June 25. You can vote at the polling station, and residents of Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region have the opportunity to do it online.

On the necessity of amending the Constitution, the President said during his address to the Federal Assembly in January of this year. The state Duma adopted in final reading a presidential bill on March 11. On the same day it was approved by the Federation Council.

the Amendments will enter into force only if approved in the nationwide vote. It was supposed to go on April 22, but was postponed due to the fall of coronavirus.
