Jerome Boateng could move to the Süper Lig this summer – at least if Trabzonspor coach Abdullah Avci had his way. The coach of the Turkish champions confirmed this to the Anadolu Ajansi news agency.
“The name Jerome Boateng came up, now we’re dealing with him. If the financial conditions are right, we would like to sign him,” the 58-year-old confirmed the rumors of interest in the 2014 world champion.

Boateng’s contract in Lyon runs until 2023, according to media reports, Trabzonspor could initially seek a loan in order to share his high salary with the French.
The 33-year-old only moved to France last year after successful years at FC Bayern, but his debut season in Ligue 1 was rather disappointing for both sides.
