A five-year-old girl died Tuesday evening at a family celebration at Klempowsee in Brandenburg. According to an initial assessment by the police, the girl drowned in the lake. “We assume a tragic accident,” said a spokesman on Wednesday.
The child had been missed by relatives. The police and other emergency services searched for the girl with sniffer dogs and a helicopter, the police said on Tuesday night. After about two hours, the child’s body was found floating in the water near the shore. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the girl. The criminal police are investigating.
