The big professional challenge has a long tradition in “Let’s Dance”. This year, however, the competition will take place differently than usual.

They are well-established teams and dance together regularly. The married couples among the dance professionals on the RTL show “Let’s Dance” know each other’s movements better than anyone else. And that may give them an edge over those who aren’t married to a professional.

So that everyone has the same chances on the floor this year, the professional challenge at “Let’s Dance” will take place for the first time under different conditions. Because: The couples are separated.

This season they are: Valentin and Renata Lusin, Alexandru Ionel and Patricija Ionel, and Malika Dzumaev and Zsolt Sándor Cseke. Kathrin Menzinger and Vadim Garbuzov were a couple for seven years, but they have been separated since 2015.

The Lusins ​​in particular have proven how successful they are as a couple in the past. They won the “Let’s Dance” professional challenge in 2021 and won the Latin and Show Dance World Championships in Leipzig last year.

But this year everything is different: Valentin Lusin will step onto the floor with “Let’s Dance” veteran Isabel Edvardsson and Renata Lusin with Christian Polanc. It will be exciting to see how Massimo Sinató and Vadim Garbuzov do as a couple, as well as Ekaterina Leonova and Oxana Lebedev.

But before the pros prove their skills, the celebrities have to do it one last time. The “Let’s Dance” finale will take place on Friday, May 20 at 8:15 p.m. The three finalist pairs are: Janin Ullmann and Zsolt Sándor Cseke, René Casselly and Kathrin Menzinger, and Mathias Mester and Renata Lusin. Each of the couples dances three different dances, a jury dance, a favorite dance and a freestyle.
